3. What amounts of personal data is collected

The term “personal data” refers to all information about you from which you may be personally identified, such as your name, surname and contact details.

4. How personal data is collected

We collect personal data from:

  • email and social media communication

  • information submitted in our customer forms

  • information submitted on the customer account

  • information submitted via a “Contact us” page and any other webpage and social media owned by Vicamtrol

4.1 Use of Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to analyze website usage. The resulting data is used to optimize our website and advertising.

Google processes the website usage data on our behalf and is contractually committed to taking steps to ensure the confidentiality of the processed data.

During your visit to the website, i.a. recorded the following data:

Called pages
Your behavior on the pages (eg, clicks, scrolling behavior, and length of stay)
Your approximate location (country and city)
Your IP address (in abbreviated form, so that no unique assignment is possible therefore we are using  the method of IP anonymization)
Technical information such as browser, Internet provider, terminal and screen resolution
Source of origin of your visit (ie via which website or via which advertising material you came to us)
This data is transmitted to a Google server in the USA. Google complies with the data protection provisions of the EU-US Privacy Shield Agreement.

Google Analytics stores cookies in your web browser for a period of two years since your last visit.
These cookies contain a randomly generated user ID that will allow you to be recognized during future website visits.

The recorded data is stored together with the randomly generated user ID, which allows the evaluation of pseudonymous user profiles. This user-related data is automatically deleted after 14 months. Other data remains stored in aggregated form for an indefinite period.

If you do not agree with the collection, you can prevent them with the one-time installation of the browser add-on for disabling Google Analytics.

4.2 Facebook
We are not using a plugin code button from Facebook. The Facebook Logo is only using a HTML-Link.
For this reason Facebook is not collecting any data of the user when the user is clicking on the Facebook Logo.

4.3 Remote View / Configuration

Depending on the equipment used, Vicontrol gets access to video data storage. Vicamtrol regularly checks video images for quality and equipment for proper operation. No data is stored permanently.

5. How personal data is used

Your personal data is only used for the purpose for which it was collected, that is, as part of our business and the services which we endeavour to offer you. However we may find ourselves in a situation where we will also have to process your personal data to fulfill a legal or regulatory obligation imposed on us.

Although we like to keep in touch with our customers and potential customers, for example by sending them news or even a newsletter, we will not do this with you unless you give us your specific consent to this.

6. Who personal data may be shared with

As a general rule, we do not share your personal data with anybody. Having said that, our employees and other service providers are given access to what personal data they will inevitably require in order to carry out their duties.

We also use third parties to perform our services and, as a result, your information may be shared accordingly.

7. Retention of personal data

We aim to collect no more personal data than that which we require to carry out our duties and to provide you with the level of service which you deserve. We keep this data for no longer than necessary.

  • the right to request that we stop processing any of your personal data, if you believe that we are doing this in an illicit manner;

  • the right to be informed, within seventy-two hours, if a data breach should occur, and also to be informed about what remedial steps were taken further to that breach.

We undertake to fully respect and to uphold these, and any other rights you may enjoy under the GDPR.
